"It's beginning to look a lot like...a kitchen!

Ferguson installers Larry Wilson and Royce Miller are not only meticulous craftsmen, they work very quickly. The kitchen walls have been patched and painted (It took three coats for the saturated green I chose!) and crisp white crown molding has been added to the room.

The beautiful Mid-Continent cabinetry has been installed. With its natural (unstained) finish, you can really see the grain and color variation of the cherry wood. The glass doors of the wall cabinets echo the style and shape of my kitchen windows; they look like they were made just for my old house! A matching cherry desk and bookcases have been installed in my butler's pantry so my cookbooks and computer will be close by.

I can't overstate the impact of Terry Kromka's masterful design. Even though my kitchen is small, it seems so much larger now. There's a huge amount of storage and work space. The new cabinet/appliance configuration will make food preparation far more efficient and vastly improve traffic flow through the room. I urge anyone who's considering a major renovation to seek the guidance of a professional designer like those at Ferguson.

Next installation steps: countertops, backsplash, lighting and appliances."

"We have finally started on the cabinets. Everything is starting to come together and we are all getting really excited! Once the cabinets are finished in the next few days, Augusta Granite will be doing the template for the quartz countertops. The color of the countertops is going to be "Chocolate Truffle." I hope this color looks as yummy as it sounds!"
